KL to London: Sakura Season
Day 37: Nei Huan Lu to Guan Jiao Cun
When I was younger, my mum used to buy decorative flowers for Chinese New Year like most typical Malaysian Chinese mothers. Every single year, she would get these pink and white sakura flowers, blooming in plastic from stem to stalk. I don’t know where they disappear to at the end of the season, but come the next Chinese New Year, they’d appear again!
When I reached this road, I was greeted by sakuras blooming. They were all over the hill and around the village. I can’t help but have the same thoughts in my mind that they’re fake, like the ones I used to see as a kid. It was so beautiful and undoubtedly real! At the moment, I wished my mum was there to see it with me.
