When I was younger, my mum used to buy decorative flowers for Chinese New Year like most typical Malaysian Chinese mothers. Every single year, ¬†she would get these pink and white sakura flowers, blooming in plastic from stem to stalk. I don’t know where they disappear to at the end of the season, but come the next Chinese New Year, they’d appear again!

When I reached this road, I was greeted by sakuras blooming. They were all over the hill and around the village. I can’t help but have the same thoughts in my mind that they’re fake, like the ones I used to see as a kid. It was so beautiful and undoubtedly real! At the moment, I wished my mum was there to see it with me.
